Hi, today we will be discussing some common reasons why a Denstar motorcycle will not start especially during and after the rainfall. This is a common problem especially in Africa where we experience rainfall. Here are some of the causes of it and the possible solutions to it.
The Engine off switch
The engine off switch is located at the top right-hand side of the motorcycle (particularly on Densar motorcycles) and it usually has a red button, when rainfall occurs, water might penetrate through the switch and this might cause the engine not to start as the water might cause the engine off button/wire to come in contact with each other, remember that water conduct electricity, therefore making it to the turnoff.
Faulty Ignition Key: yes when the key is faulty it makes the wires attached to the ignition easily come in contact with each other especially when rain falls or when you pour water on the ignition key when washing it. The possible solution is to change the ignition key.
Necked Wire That Needs to be Covered: This might also be the cause of the problem for this kind of issue please try and tape up the wire. Most time is the black and white wire that is responsible for this issue if necked. find and tape the black and white wire if you find it necked, check the neck area of the motorcycle as most time the fault usually comes from there.
