My Motorcycle ignition do not turn on the electrical system but start the engine

Hi guy, is me, Emmanuel, today we will be talking about a particularly common fault on Denstar motorcycle, if you are experiencing this issue on your motorcycle or you are observing that the headlight, horn, or the entire part of the electrical system is not working except the engine then you are at the right page to get a solution to it. This is a very frustrating issue. When you put on the ignition you notice that nothing turns on except the engine and that is when you start the engine with the leg starter, before the motorcycle will turn on. Today am going to share with you the solution and some common reasons why this may occur.

Faulty Ignition Key

The Denstar ignition key has 4 wires, the red, black, green, and the black & white wire. the red and black wires are the ones that control the electrical system of the motorcycle while the black & white and green wires are the ones that are responsible for the engine off and each of these wires has their difference and functions.

Based on experience the common solution to it is to change the ignition key. Check the red wire if it supplies current to the key, after doing that, if the red wire supplies current to the key then you should turn on the ignition key, check the black wire which is responsible for supplying current to the entire motorcycle system when the ignition is turned on, if it does not then you should considering replacing the key

Wire May Be Losing Contact

This may be a fuse and other things, check the fuse located at the side cover if it is still good and well connected, and if it is not consider replacing the fuse and also try to check the reason why the fuse is faulty.

Another possible reason for this may be due to rust or a wire cut, if the ignition key receives and supplies current back to the motorcycle electrical system, chances are that the black wire may be disconnected somewhere but not close to the ignition key, so get your test lamp, and start tracing the fault.
