Why Do I Feel Electric Shock From My Motorcycle Tank

it is very dangerous when driving a motorcycle and feeling electric shock at the same time, as we all know that can lead to death and that is why is it important to always take cautious measures about the maintenance of your motorcycle. today we are going to be discussing some common reasons why a motorcycle tank might be electrocuted and how to get rid of the electric shock.

Necked Wire Under The Tank

There are lots of wires that pass under the tank of a motorcycle, these different wire has different functions and purposes, another thing that can be found under the tank is the CDI which is responsible for supplying current to the chassis coil and from the chassis coil to the Plug. All these take place under the tank and these parts carry electricity that can shock when the wire is necked, that is why is it important to always clover any necked wire that is found under the tank to avoid electric shock when necked.

In case you are facing this problem on your motorcycle, most times the wire responsible for this electric shock is the white and black wire which is responsible for the engine off when it touches the negative wire. You can also check the wire that is connected to the chassis coil and the wire that carries current from the chassis coil to the plug for any leakage and cover them up.
