My Motorcycle fuel gauge is stuck, how to fix it and what causes it

Yes, good day everyone am here today to share with you another exciting solution about how to fix the fuel gauge meter that is stuck and unable to move, as you can see in the picture below the fuel gauge meter is unable to move in the speedometer.

How the fuel gauge get stuck in the speedometer

As we all know the fuel gauge meter is not supposed to go behind the hook, but sometimes it does and this is not because it is supposed to do so but because of a fault in the electrical wiring system of the motorcycle.

first of all, we have to address the cause of it before fixing it on the speedometer, the cause of it is because of a faulty wire (either the negative or positive wire can cause it) which is the black wire, the red wire, or the green wire. If any of these wires are losing contact and they are not supplying constant current as they are supposed to supply to the electrical system, it term to create the fault where the fuel gauge gets stuck. how this happens is that: you might have noticed that when moving your motorcycle the fuel gauge meter tends to wave especially when you apply brake at once or run over a pothole, if the wire that is supposed to supply standby current is losing contact and it fails to work for some seconds or even milliseconds the fuel gauge will fail to return especially when you run over a pothole that makes the fuel gauge to move clockwise in 360 degree and get stuck.

The possible solution

The possible solution is to check the black wire, red wire, or green wire if it’s losing contact, especially in the neck area of the motorcycle, cause if any of these wires are losing contact it will make the fuel gauge malfunction and make it get stuck.

After you have fixed the fault that is from the motorcycle’s electrical system, the next step is to fix the fuel gauge meter on the speedometer, loose the speedometer, carefully turn the fuel gauge meter back word to its starting point, couple the speedometer and you are done with it.
